With a little extra time on your hands, crack out the flour and sugar and make yourself this weekend treat.

Twenty minutes later, a delicious breakfast

 Yes it's cold outside, but I'm sure it's as warm and sunny in your kitchen as it is in mine. I'm not a big breakfast eater, but on weekends I like to bake. Muffins are great but this morning I saw a jar of strawberry jam on my counter and I immediately thought of scones.

These ones are buttery, light, and flakey. They're also easy to make and chances are you have all the ingredients on hand.

I munch on these while reading the paper, sipping my cafe au lait and listening to Espace Musique on the radio at 100.7.

Heaven!
