Any interviews of restaurant management or staff were conducted after the meals and services had been appraised. Ratings take food, ambience, service, and price into consideration. Menu items and prices are subject to change. No restaurant rated below two stars is featured on this site.

Note that all food, wine, and services were paid for in full and that restaurants featured here were visited anonymously -- however, there’s no denying that after eight years on this beat, I’m often recognized!

Excellent
Excellent, verging on extraordinary
Extraordinary (one of the best)
   
 The price ratings:
Inexpensive, most main courses priced under $20
Moderate, most main courses over $20
Expensive, most main courses around $30
